Great place for family with kids
The breakfast was great, and I gotta say, Ali at breakfast was like a machine -- always smiling and ready to help. We also enjoyed the fantastic views from our room, it was unbelievable, just amazing!
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but honestly, for what we got, I'd say it was acceptable.

Visiting friends
Rooms a bit old fashion. Carpet just clean. Bathroom door did notlock. No safe lock on door to the room either. No towels! It took 3 hours to get some. We will not stay there again!

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. They were always quick to compensate for any defects in the facilities, of which there were unfortunately many. The location is also perfect, with amazing views and spacious rooms.
At the King Solomon hotel, you can experience the height of 1970s luxury, today! Problem is, some of the aging facilities are badly in need of an upgrade. While our room was spacious we found our bed uncomfortable, and just about every appliance in the room broke -- we flipped a breaker, the heat was flaky, the toilet broke, the bathtub drain broke, you name it. For the price I would have expected a much more updated experience.

We liked the location. The rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, not great. Staff was adequate.
AC not working properly in the room, also after they supposedly fixed it.

Location. Decent, clean room.
The front desk staff was horrid! With the exception of Shari, everyone we encountered there was either non-caring, rude or both. More often than not we had to call for someone to come to the desk as there was no one out front on a regular basis. As my husband is a travel agent he would find it difficult to recommend the hotel for anything other than location and a decent, clean room. My husband walks with a cane and only one doorman, whose name unfortunately I can't recall, ever bothered to open the door for him. Overall our experience was less than satisfactory.

We ate at a fantastic restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There was very big bed, a TV, high-speed internet and a terrace. The staff were top-class and five star, gave us great tips. It had unbeatable and exceptionally nice location with access to Mishkenot Sha'ananim nearby.

Request breakfast boxes if you need to leave early. It's a thoughtful touch that makes a rushed schedule easier.

Location was very good, the staff were extremely helpful and free underground parking was included The room was clean, comfortable, plenty of space and liked that they had a pot to heat water. Bit expensive, did give us some free water bottles from the minibar. For those of you used to cushy, luxurious US style beds, the beds are usually twins put together and the beds here were comfortable compared to many "board-like" beds we have had the pleasure of sleeping on. For new travelers abroad, know that the European standard is much firmer. This is not all bad, just something new to adjust too.
The water had been off- when checking in, I heard a couple asking if the water was back on. I guess it left air in the pipes because when using toilets or sink water there were little high pitched noises for a while. The noise woke my husband up in the morning. I am guessing this was not a usual problem at the hotel.

Gorgeous and fairly clean hotel with top-class staff and absolutely superb views of the "Old City". Brand-new room, comfortable beds, clean pool. Had super fast internet and terrace.

beautiful stay , but a bit noisy at night
The hotel's art collection is excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet with its wide selection, catering to various tastes. Our Grand Beautiful Room was immaculate. The room offered a amazing view of the city, made mornings really good.
The only downside was the noise from nearby activities that occasionally disrupted our rest.
